There are some items you simply can’t replace. When Tony Stewart and his crew left Sonoma Raceway on Sunday afternoon, apparently they didn’t deem it necessary to take the team’s hauler along for the ride.

Sonoma’s official Twitter account informed Stewart-Haas Racing about the lost item, but it’s going to be a long ride back to Sonoma from the SHR shop in Kannapolis, NC.

There’s no word on whether or not the No. 14 car was left in the hauler, but that would be a tragic loss for the team. The car did run up in the top 10 for much of the afternoon before finishing 12th on Sunday.

Then again, it might also be a souvenir hauler, as some commenters on Reddit have suggested. Either way, it’s a strange item for the Sonoma lost and found department following a race.

Suffice to say, SHR might want that one back.

We’re still waiting to see Stewart’s reaction to the hauler being left behind by his team. This should be fun.
