It isn’t exactly the way any driver wants to win a race, but Kurt Busch will certainly take it. The Stewart-Haas Racing driver notched his second win in 2015 when the Quicken Loans 400 was called for rain after reaching the halfway point.

Busch benefited from teammate Kevin Harvick spinning out and Kyle Larson remaining on the track with worn out tires. But when the red flag waved for the third time on Sunday on Lap 138, it was Busch that paced the field to claim the win.

Larson stayed out on the last restart despite needing fuel and being on bad tires. He had the No. 42 machine in the lead thanks to the bold move from crew chief Chris Heroy, but it was all for naught as the rain started falling again just after he finally went to the pits.

Kevin Harvick, meanwhile, led the most laps and had a late-race issue that ruined any chance of winning. He spun out, slammed into a SAFER barrier and ultimately finished 29th. It marked just his second finish outside of the top 10 since the start of the season.

Harvick wasn’t the only contender to have tough luck during the race. Just a day after winning his first race of the season in the Xfinity Series, Kyle Busch wrecked and finished 43rd on Sunday.

Dale Earnhardt Jr., Martin Truex Jr., Matt Kenseth and Joey Logano rounded out the rest of the top five. Carl Edwards, who led the second-most laps, fell out of the top 10 by the end of the race at 12th. Ty Dillon also came up just short of finishing 10th or better at 14th after running up near the front most of the afternoon.
