Picking a No. 1 driver each week can be an arduous task in NASCAR daily fantasy. Luckily, Kevin Harvick makes it much easier for DraftKings owners at Darlington.
Not only is Harvick statistically the best driver this season in DFS, but he also took the checkered flag at Darlington last season. Oh, and he cruised to 238 laps led in that dominant performance. Yeah, that’s out of 374 in the 500-mile race.
The defending winner didn’t top the speed charts in the first practice at the track “Too Tough to Tame,” but he paced the all-important 10-lap average. So even if he doesn’t start from the pole on Sunday night, owners can expect him to challenge for the lead quickly.
Along with teammate Kurt Busch, who finished third on the 10-lap average, Harvick is one of just six drivers above the $10,000 price point. That’s a deserving honor for the Stewart-Haas Racing driver who is averaging a 7.3 finish and 62.1 fantasy points this year.
With 70 fantasy points at Bristol and three straight top-three finishes in the last three races, the No. 4 team is rolling. Barring any issues with a Darlington stripe on Sunday, expect Harvick to defend his victory from 2014 and give fantasy owners a huge payout.
