Welcome back to another week of NASCAR daily fantasy. This weekend, the main feature is a Sprint Cup race at Michigan Speedway, a two-mile D-shaped course that constantly wreaks havoc on some of NASCAR’s top stars.
Ironically enough, one struggling driver in 2015 is worth targeting at the Brooklyn track. Greg Biffle, who has just two top-10 finishes this year, is a great bargain bin option for Michigan thanks to his prior success.
At $9,400 on DraftKings, Biffle is a steal for owners looking for not only a consistent driver, but one who can potentially win the race. Among active drivers, no one has as many victories (four) as Biffle at MIS. He also 294 laps led at the track despite not nailing any down in 2014. Tack on the fact that Biffle has an average finish of 11.5 at the track and it’s apparent that he has clearly tamed one of the fastest tracks in NASCAR
While Roush Fenway Racing cars haven’t shown much speed this year, Biffle has found a way to carve out his own path recently.
The Sprint Showdown may have only been an exhibition race, but his speed shown at Charlotte proves Biff’s team has learned how to work with the new rules package. Since his win that Friday night, Biffle has a second-place finish at the Coca-Cola 600 and narrowly missed the top 10 at Pocono in 12th.
A victory for Biffle on Sunday would be his first since June 2013—which was also in Michigan. Look for the No. 16 machine to recapture some of its old mojo once and for all with a strong result on Sunday at the Quicken Loans 400.
