Picking drivers at any track is a long process if you want to win on DraftKings. At Daytona, the end result is typically such a crap shoot that narrowing down just five drivers is not the easiest task with so many drivers that can pull out a win.

Luckily, Casey Mears is ripe for the picking at a low price for owners. DraftKings has actually reduced the prices for most drivers on the restrictor-plate course, but Mears at $8,700 can help balance out a lineup on Sunday night.

He’s not just a paperweight like some mid-pack drivers, but actually has a solid chance to finish inside the top 10.

Over his last four races at Daytona, Mears has averaged a finish of 7.25 and even led a few laps over that span. Laps led won’t be as important in this race with only 160 laps slated for Sunday, so the finishing position will be crucial for owners tabbing Mears.

In order to add Dale Earnhardt Jr. or Joey Logano—winners of the last two Daytona 500s—owners will need a reduced price driver. Coming off a week where he lost his axle at Sonoma to fall off the pace, expect a noteworthy result from the Germain Racing driver.
