Tony Stewart hasn’t put together the type of season he expected, but maybe a throwback paint scheme will do the trick. When the co-owner of Stewart-Haas Racing rolls up to Darlington on Sept. 6, he’ll have a fresh new retro scheme from Bass Pro Shops across his No. 14 Chevrolet.
The SHR Instagram page shared the new look on Wednesday afternoon:
Stewart’s announcement comes exactly three weeks after teammate Kevin Harvick unveiled his throwback look for the Bojangles’ Southern 500. We’re also assuming that Dale Earnhardt Jr. will reveal his “end of summer plans” with a Valvoline car for the same race.
Not that any race at a track infamously known as “Too Tough To Tame” needs any more suspense, but the Sprint Cup drivers are certainly building even more. With Stewart’s fresh scheme released, who will be next in line to show off a retro look for Darlington?
