Since the passing of Buddy Baker earlier this week, the NASCAR world has been looking for ways to honor one of the greatest drivers to grace the track. Clint Bowyer has a special scheme for Darlington. Dale Earnhardt Jr. hopes to roll out a retro look for 2016.
Ryan Newman will pay tribute to the NASCAR legend by replacing his name decal with Baker’s name.

Following Baker’s passing, Newman shared his thoughts on the Gentle Giant on Twitter.
Sorry 2 hear my friend Buddy Baker passed, glad he is no longer suffering. RIP, Hear no1 has gone 200mph in heaven. Go easy on the rt front — Ryan Newman (@RyanJNewman) August 10, 2015
Newman hasn’t had a top-10 finish at Michigan since 2012. But with a guardian angel riding along with him this week, Newman might have more luck in Chevrolet’s backyard on Sunday.
