Sunday was a busy day for NASCAR’s power couple. Shortly after Danica Patrick unveiled her new deal with Nature’s Bakery, boyfriend Ricky Stenhouse Jr. drove up in a sharp new throwback at Darlington Raceway.

The No. 17 Ford Fusion is a throwback to David Pearson’s ride at the Southern 500 courtesy of Cargill. The final product was a slick looking ride with just the right amount of retro paint scheme infused with Stenhouse’s Fusion ride.

Of course, the irony here is that Patrick introduces a new healthy brand sponsor while Stenhouse is a rolling advertisement for beef. That wasn’t lost on one of NASCAR’s most sarcastic Twitter personalities.

Patrick will also have a throwback theme for the Southern 500 with her “Lady In Black” look. The race will have nearly every driver appearing in a retro machine, but Stenhouse’s ride is sure to stand out with the traditional Pearson theme.

Before exiting the press conference, Roush Fenway Racing offered a wrap-around look at the ride and Stenhouse’s thoughts on the ride.
