Sunday Night Football has Carrie Underwood. NASCAR on NBC now has Blake Shelton.

After months of waiting, NASCAR on NBC will finally begin on Sunday at Daytona for the Coke Zero 400. Along with an outstanding crew that includes Jeff Burton, Steve Letarte and Dale Jarrett, NBC will also have a big gun introducing the races.

Shelton won’t be singing a NASCAR-themed song like Underwood does for SNF, but the namesake for his “Bringing Back the Sunshine” album will have to do. After all, that’s what NASCAR on NBC will look to provide after being off the air for nearly a decade.

While we were really hoping for Dale Earnhardt Jr. or Danica Patrick in the video, the montage including Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt will have to suffice. A new era kicks off on Sunday when NASCAR returns at 7:45 p.m. ET with Shelton serving as the warmup to three-wide racing at Daytona.
