LOOK: NASCAR calls caution for balloons in Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis

There are a lot of reasons why the yellow flag waves at a NASCAR event. Wrecks, debris and oil on the track are just a number of causes for a caution.

Add balloons on the track to that list. No, seriously. You read that right.

The Brickyard 400 had a caution flag wave after balloons were discovered on the backstretch on Sunday afternoon.

Before the start of the race, balloons are regularly let loose at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Nate Ryan of NBC Sports tweeted out a picture of the culprit.

Cars returned to the track after the inflated materials were cleared, but no one would forget the balloons on the backstretch. Here’s a look at some of the best reaction from the balloons bonanza.
