NASCAR and sponsors work hand-in-hand to produce some of the most engaging paint schemes on a weekly basis. This weekend at Daytona, Hendrick Motorsports will be rolling out yet another intriguing look for Kasey Kahne and the No. 5 team.

Kahne will still have Great Clips on the hood, but his car is also equipped with shark teeth along the front clip. Yes, the No. 5 machine will be donning a “Shark Week” theme this week for the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway.

Hendrick will actually have three different looks for this weekend with Dale Earnhardt Jr. premiering his patriotic Nationwide 88 machine and Jimmie Johnson bringing back the same look he had for the Coca-Cola 600 and Sprint All-Star race. Jeff Gordon might not have a new scheme, but his updated “Rainbow Warrior” has been the most-hyped story all week.

Looking for his first win of the season, Kahne hopes to make a statement on Sunday at Daytona. Before he ever rolls out on the track, a statement will be made with that bright scheme and the jagged shark teeth along the bottom.

Did Kahne jump the shark with this look? We’ll find out on Sunday night at Daytona.
