Robby Gordon and Apdaly Lopez were battling for position during the Baja 500 last weekend when a spectator darting across the track was struck by Gordon. The full accident was caught on tape by a fan in attendance.

Lopez would go on to win the race, but the accident left spectators near the track stunned. Unofficial reports from the official Baja 500 account note that there were no serious injuries, but the fan did suffer a broken leg.

Reports from Bob McPhail of The San Diego Reader also note that eight other spectators were also hit during the event in Ensenada, California. None of those individuals were seriously injured either, according to the article.

We are awaiting further information from Gordon’s team about the incident.
