NASCAR sponsors often do anything within the bounds of the sport to draw interest from the fan base. On Saturday afternoon, Darrell Wallace Jr.’s newest sponsor truly making a statement with the paint scheme.

The Nickelodeon cartoon Spongebob Squarepants will be plastered all over the Roush Fenway driver’s car. It features not only the porous sponge all over the No. 6 machine, but also has a cameo from his friend Patrick and several other crustaceans from Bikini Bottom.

Roush Fenway shared a more extensive look at the scheme on Instagram:

Bubba Wallace himself also shared his thoughts on the child-friendly look:

Oh, it’s going to be glorious, but it doesn’t stop there with Spongebob or Nickelodeon as a whole. The Kansas race next Saturday night is sponsored by the show, fittingly title the Spongebob Squarepants 400. Four different cars will also be outfitted with more Spongebob wraps, including Greg Biffle and David Ragan.

Let’s just hope Wallace can perform well in the Spongebob machine and potentially pull off his first Xfinity win. Because, let’s be honest, it would look pretty awesome to see Spongebob burning out at NASCAR’s biggest track.
