Danica Patrick was having a rough night in the Southern 500 during the first 186 laps. Matters got exponentially worse on Lap 187 as Patrick lost control of her No. 10 car and slammed into the wall at Darlington Raceway.

The Stewart-Haas Racing driver earned more than her Darlington stripe as she headed to the garage shortly after the accident. Problems apparently came about when she had a right front tire go down, sending her careening into the wall.

Patrick had words with her crew chief Daniel Knost following qualifying earlier this week and didn’t mince her words throughout the race either. When Patrick only received two tires during a pit stop she berated Knost and her crew.

The No. 10 machine would eventually return to the track, but the damage was already done to the “Lady In Black” by the Lady In Black.

Patrick now has no shot at making the Chase for the Sprint Cup unless she wins next weekend at Richmond. After finishing 25th at the track earlier this season, Patrick will likely miss the Chase yet again this season.
