A dominant performance for Brad Keselowski simply wasn’t enough to clinch a win for the No. 2 team on Sunday afternoon at Texas Motor Speedway. Jimmie Johnson collected his fifth win of the season, sixth at Texas and 75th overall in his career.
While the final results were exciting, there was a lot more action on the track than just the ending.
Martin Truex Jr. and Keselowski made up after contact on the track following the race. Dale Earnhardt Jr. provided his thoughts on day racing at Texas. Oh, and Matt Kenseth had one of the biggest burns of the entire season.
Here’s a look at everything that went down after the AAA Texas 500.

Winning car. I slapped the wall with it. My mistake. I own it. Guys did a good job fixing it. Amazed me at how well they fixed it. Beer me. — Dale Earnhardt Jr. (@DaleJr) November 8, 2015
Texas kicked our butt this year. We struggled to get ahold of the track both races. My arms are tired from sawing on the wheel! On to Phx — Aric Almirola (@aric_almirola) November 9, 2015
